Dag Hammarskjöld
I love my job.
Honestly I do. No day is ever the same. Each day consists of priorities and not seldom of problem solving, but I ”Like it”.
I like the feeling of waking up and being eager to continue on. I like the gang I have the privilege to work with.I like what we are doing, the dedication to something that makes it easier for those who want to donate money. It feels meaningful.
I cannot say that I think about it every day, but often. I realize that not everyone has that feeling that I have for waking up and ”go to work”. So I feel happy – and grateful.
But I’m not satisfied, and for me that is a powerful motivator. A driving force that makes me do a little more, want a little more. Perhaps it is that Dag Hammarskjöld puts it in his book Markings:
”Hunger is my home base in passions country. Hunger for fellowship, hunger for righteousness – a community built on righteousness and righteousness won in the Community”
Today is another good day at work.
